March Madness

This is a wide side community building event.

We could:

Bring in food.

Find some guys to prepare the food as part of the community building.

We could:

Identify some wide side guys we know and each personally invite them to come.

Identify newer members of guys we might not know and invite them.

Remember the genius of the "and" here and maybe look to do both.

We need to:

Identify a date and figure out how to tell our story about why someone would want to come.

Is there a logical next step from this event we would look to point someone to?

After all this time of discussing marketing, communications and tribe building, I read this :).

Now granted, I don't even know what March Madness is or is about (hopefully not basketball). But it sounds like a group of guys decided to host an event.

What is the purpose and goal of the event? Is it to draw together men who already know each other? Or is it to attract men not currently involved?

Have you identified your goal attendee? And have you asked a sample of this group how they're interested in getting together?

Marketing is about identifying what your target "customer" cares about and wants and providing THAT. Military campaigns and crusades are about forcing an agenda on others.

Which are we doing here?

I need a night out to watch basketball and have conversations that have no end goal or impact. Just a fun evening to help create an environment for guys to connect. The next steps would be up to each of us and how the Spirit leads us to follow-up.

Looking forward it. Friday nights are harder for me due to hockey but I could make it by 9 pm.
